My Cross
Music and Lyrics by Tim Glenn

My cross is dragging the ground.
It's heavier now than I ever thought it would be.
My cross is familiar and worn
the subject of scorn and sometimes it's all I see.

So I'll place it on the shoulders of
the one who's pouring out His love
And I'll place it in the nail-marked hands
of the one who loves me as I am.

My cross is the shame I must bear,
with me everywhere.  I admit that it's bigger than me.
Though I try to walk it alone
my cross is a stone that's pulling me to my knees.

It's too heavy...
It's too heavy...
Far too heavy...for me...for me...

So I'll place it on the shoulders of
the one who's pouring out His love
and I'll place it in the nail-marked hands
of the One who loves me as I am

So I'll place it on the shoulders of
the one who's pouring out His love
and I'll place it in the nail-marked hands
of the One who loves me as I am
